Is it safe to travel to phuket and krabi in November 2010? My flight is from KL to Krabi.?

I have recently booked flights to visit krabi & phuket in November 2010. I will not be landing at Bangkok per the itenary. I am concerned since i will be travelling with my wife. Please advise if it is safe to travel to krabi & phuket In November 2010. Thank you
